The road system of the city is well developed and has a total road length of about 1,268 km. From St. Petersburg, federal main roads lead in all directions, as a rule parallel to main railway routes and with them form communication transport corridors.  

There are the following main highway routes:

  • Scandinavia
    St. Petersburg - Vyborg - State border with Finland

    St. Petersburg - Ivangorod - State border with Estonia
